Yeah but they are enforcing them as if they were law and they are dangerous. Always have been really. The notion they have no effect is nonsensical. FDR imprisoned Japanese Americans based on such an order.

EOs demonstrate the failure of the federal government in general and the failure of Congress to enact appropriate legislation specifically. The next POTUS can undo EOs on day one, and they do so often. Enforcement is “legal” if not typical unless challenged in court.

Yes the next president can...in 3 years and 9 months. And what ypu write about the failure of government..specifically the Congress...is, in my opinion, correct. Not that this is why Trump uses EOs..

I agree with you Trump uses EOs because he likes to be the centre of attention, loves to hold up that seismic scrawl signature of his. DOGE could have suggested firing all 435 in the House and all 100 in the Senate because Trump could do everything with EOs. That would suit him just fine.
