US no longer has a constitution since POTUS made the President King.

There is no longer a democracy.

US is now a hostile state, untrustworthy.

Boycott US goods and services.

Right. People talking about winning in 2026 don’t understand that we haven’t got that amount of time. I don’t see how we survive this as a democracy. Every US department that helps anyone is being destroyed very quickly. They know they can’t do it legally so they’re just brazening it out.

A critical point - there will be a temptation to pretend everything is fine if Trump and Musk are turned back, as there was after January 6. But then we're set up for an ongoing series of attacks on democracy, one after the next, every time Rs lose (try to overturn) or win (try to overthrow)

There's an Overton Window for Democratic institutions as well. The Republicans get into power and dismantle years of tedious, careful creation in a matter of days with executive orders, and then Democrats win the next election and carefully put back what's broken, but at great cost and time.

It’s over. There’s a coup. The constitution is broken. Law enforcement is broken. The courts and legal system are useless and irrelevant. The media is ineffective or complicit. The political system is impotent.

You can’t put these systems back as they were. The status quo ante isn’t available
