In modern history, what is the least popular that party leaders have ever been to their OWN voters? Second place was the GOP in 2009, where their net approval with Republican voters was only +6.

Currently Dems are -8, shattering all previous records.

seeming too extreme? they're husbanding political capital for a midterm that is very far away and huge damage is being done in the meantime. also there's a ton of indecision about how to talk about Trump after losing with Harris using a democracy message near the end

I wish I could say they're wrong, but Schumer et all seems to forget Dems at the time were very much on Bush Jr's ass after the Social Security privatization thing and blaming Rs for fucking the economy.
