Moved from Philly, bought a 10-game package. The last game I went to was the first time I've ever seen a Cubs win, in-person, in 51 years of being alive and growing up going to a few cubs games a year.

I didn't know there was a song. "Hey Hey What d'ya say?" How long has that song been around?

Go Cubs Go by Steve Goodman, came out in 1984.

In 2008ish they did some alternate lyrics including the players: "We got an all-star here by the name of D-Lee... And the Cy Young better go to Big Z..."

I tuned out hard around June/July. Even in the crappy years (I'm looking at you, most of the 80s and 90s), I was able to delude myself into believing the organization was TRYING. Then with the beginning of the Theo era, it was "there's a plan." Right now the front office just feels kinda hapless.
