Accessing satellite data on AWS and using python to output the images I want in a more automated way. Just one of those little things that you're so used to using the finished products published that to make it yourself is almost a lost art.

Javascript mapping libraries. There are so many and get very complicated very quickly if you want to make something beautiful and easy to use. Openlayers, Leaflet, Deckgl (Lonboard), D3js ...

That sounds like quite a task! Have you ever worked with FME? If the various data sources schemas are stable then you could probably build something that would mostly automatic.

For me it’s the cartography aspect. The last few years I’ve delved deep into #python , #R, and #SQL, and I feel like I have solid footing in the ETL pipeline world. But I don’t get to make pretty maps all that much. #gischat
