It's majority of those who vote and statistically, majority of those who don't vote. It's not the opinion, just counting. I know it hurts but it's the fact. Majority of US voters want Trump and everything that comes with it. His 1st term could be a fluke but the 2nd is on all of you.
It's not trolling. You need to learn how US elections work. It's a shit, outdated system combining FPTP with electoral college... But it's your system. And under that system, Trump has consolidated power in all 3 branches of the government. It's not opinion, just counting.
You lack an understanding of the diff between election results & MAGA. Lots of poorer people voted for Trump this time on purely economic grounds. MAGA base has always been ~40% and not moved since 2016. Biden crushed him in the popular vote in 2020 but our shitty electoral college made it close.
This time (not in 2020) he did win the popular vote, buuut. His number of votes barely increased from 2020. The difference was Harris got a lot less votes in 2024 than Biden got in 2020. Democrats did not show up to vote this time.
He got more popular votes (not by much but still) and he got whopping majority of electoral college votes. It's a shit voting system but it's what US has and wants. Those are the rules of the game and under those rules Trump controls all 3 branches of the government. All that thanks to US voters.
It would take a 3/5 majority in Congress to eliminate the electoral college and republicans would never vote for that because the current structure favors them as a minority of people in this country.
As a Canadian, I don’t care what it stands for. Do you have any idea how Canadians vote? We’d ensure the White House and House of Representatives never saw Republican control again.
