Hello trailblazers for HSR today I wanna talk about Acheron and some flower symbology.

Raiden Bosonmori Mei, or Acheron shares many similarities with Raiden Mei from HI3. One big difference is that it’s highly implied in acherons animated trailer that at the end of her world she killed Kiana (assuming you play Stelle)

We know in HI3 there is nothing remotely straight between Raiden Mei and Kiana.

But one thing is some assume acherons flower is a crimson lotus for the underworld symbology. And anywhere else a character like acheron would have had a spider lilly

Oh and some say it’s peach trees. More on the peach tree reading later.

I do think one reading for the flowers is that of Desert Rose, in some cultures associated with death, the spirit world, and importantly mourning.

The waviness and gradients would seem to match up, but I’m not going to pretend you can get an exact reading.

I bring up how possibly Acherons flowers were not intended to just symbolize the underworld, but a deeper meaning beyond the shadow. Her mourning for Kiana who is beyond the Nihility Ix

When she first introduces her true name Raiden Bosenmori Mei she references it’s the hue of red she has held on to

Kiana the Sovereign of the Void, is mentioned by Raiden Mei us having given her life and a name on the rooftop in which she saved her. So I present that Raiden Bosonmori Mei, the red hue of acheron and the flowers are connected in the painful memory she can’t let go, Kiana
