Last year I was in an AKS trial against a CEO who took doctors on private flights for hunting & skiing. His defense - they were “just friends.” Some docs said they “couldn’t remember” if they flew private. Jury didn’t buy their schtick. My point: the public would def support investigating this.

I keep thinking an easyish way to address this would be to just tax gifts over 10k at like 90% for all federal employees. Could just sneak it into a tax bill, and who would really complain/be affected besides our most corrupt officials?
