Well, if Hamas hadn't used schools (and hospitals, and residential neighborhoods) as military bases, complete with weapons and ammunition storage, this wouldn't be quite as much of an issue.

Look, the problem is complex. No question. Civilian deaths are awful.

However, one has to remember that, to Hamas, civilian deaths aren't a bug, they're a feature.

And again, U.S. intel also said there were no links to Hamas and UNRWA. This is cherrypicking. The same U.S. intel + advisors at State said Israel was illegally blocking aid, which Israel lied about and said Hamas was stealing it.
