You'd think a "liberal" cable network would take advantage of people wanting a, you know, "liberal" cable network during a right-wing era, but MSNBC has a grand tradition of firing its best people as soon as Republicans get into power.

MSNBC has decided to silence, sideline, & cancel prominent anchors of color, such as Joy Reid. The rest of us can tune out and build our own media community.

Tho, I’ve already cut cable so neither MSNBC or NBC gets my viewership.
That would be a lot more palatable if the US still had a vigorous newspaper industry, but Americans no longer read newspapers 🤷♀️
Makes sense.
I know nobody under 40 gets this, the fact that CBS News was vital AF for a long time.
They have an infrastructure across a lot of media.
The could make money and be informational.
They’re corporatists, proceeding under a veil of liberalism
It’s a good thing that these corporate conglomerates fall apart. The more viewership they lose, the less power they have.
Support local, independent and not-for-profit press.
And of course they replaced him with "Countdown: Iraq"
I'm not proud of this.
