In the same kinda boat, I think I'll still use twitter just for updates or promotion, and if I ever post art again I'll post a blurred version on twitter and keep promoting my bluesky, that's what I plan to do at least 😔

I was thinking the same thing. Like primarily just use it to promote bsky/patreon, maybe, but we'll see 😩 I loved the engagement that I got there with the community, so I can only hope that over time it'll be the same here

Yeah, Im a little split myself but definitely find myself being more active here for every day that passes. Several people I follow have already fully migrated here so why not attempt it myself to some extent.

Seeing that some people have fully migrated and rebuilt a following over here definitely gives me some hope! I know with the first few huge migrations, a lot of people fell off, but it does look like a good amount of people stuck around, so I think it'll be easier for me to commit to it I think

Yeah. The more people migrate over here, the better, and it seems like the platform as a whole has crossed an exodus point now, Bsky now has a strong enough userbase to be self sustaining. Its smaller than Twitters userbase sure, but this is still critically important. It can only go up from here.

Not fully abandoning is the best you could do, especially if you have a bigger audience still on twitter, but yeah, sucks to start over, but it’s also fun to start getting those followers back and this site is nice to be in

With the block shit then yea people completely deleting is stupid, but its because of the ai training changes that make it a dilemma. I also hate the idea of completely abandoning especially since Ive been on there for a decade but I DESPISE the idea of anything I post being used to train AI shit

Just a bit more work keeping both updated, but it's better in case twitter do crap the bed with how often it goes through changes (often for the worse!)
