Mayor Karen Bass is the mayor of the city of Los Angeles. These fires are in other cities within thr county of Los Angeles. This right-wing smear campaign is repugnant.

Altadena is its own city. I believe the Sheriff’s department is their law enforcement. I think County Fire Department. Pasadena has its own cops and fire departments.
Imagine if this fire had started while Caruso was mayor and then it came out that he hired private firefighters to protect his development in the Palisades(he did, btw).
Apparently it's beyond the grasp of folks that there is a difference between the CITY of Los Angeles, and the COUNTY of Los Angeles. We need a Go-Fund-Me for IQ points. There is a massive need for them.
