Invariably, the work that happens outside of COPs (in the activist and organiser movements) is far more exciting and actually aligned with what is needed than most inside the venue. Shifting balance towards the latter would also be a good start.

The COPs are merely occasions where countries pay lip-service to taking action. Whenever anything *is* announced, it's usually an exercise in kicking the can down the road. Action needs to be taken NOW, not in 5...10...15 years
