Some liberals and leftists have such a strong association with the right being bad on the environment that they missed the gender politics of trad wife content, or have a hard time understanding how overpopulation arguments feed into eco-fascism. And as Devrim says, none of this is new!

The article focuses on the conservative right appropriating the "crunchie" (or back to nature) movement and how left leaning crunchies have a hard time navigating this. It fails to emphasize that this kind of romantic, naturalist discourse has historically been part of movements like Nazism.

While things are often classed as right, left or center, a good third of Americans are not even on the political spectrum.
I haven't read the article, not sure it's even worth the time.
I think many liberals have seen the rise, but just don't know how to fight it.
