We collectively haven’t been taking the plans laid out by Project 2025 seriously enough. They want to destroy NOAA so people won’t know that climate change is happening. It sounds stupid and alarmist if you haven’t been paying attention.

I just had my annual wellness checkup, and the medical assistant asked if I wanted to do the depression and anxiety screenings. I said with everything going on in the country, the results would be skewed. He said “what’s going on?”

Don’t assume everyone is as informed or dialed in as you are.

I just meant that I’ve previously had depression and generalized anxiety that are separate from my current emotions about the state of the world, so “in the last two weeks, have you felt anxious or hopeless” is…not really informative, because I have, but for different reasons!

I called my financial advisor to ask some questions. He said everyone expects the stock market to do great, he didn't see things changing. I asked about Elon, what could happen if systems got hacked/manipulated. He didn't even know how to answer. He couldn't fathom a future wo a stock market.

An economically vulnerable person i know told me trump was going to stop taxes on americans and tax foreign companies instead. I had to disabuse her of that fantasy and explain how that's not even a thing. SHe's going to suffer doubly from poverty and false hope.
