And honestly, that’s great. You don’t need a video essay’s worth of reasons why you like or dislike something. Sometimes, a simple “I just think this is cool” or “This really isn’t my thing” is all that needs to be said.

Life's too shirt to be hung up on the stuff you don't like. You can call it out and stuff but nowadays it's more fun and les mentally taxing to just..share stuff you like and what not. You lead happier lives that way and make less enemies and stupid people that way :)

TBH I feel like, overall, we should normalize NOT having to explain why we enjoy something, in-depth or otherwise. It's one thing to ask why you like something out of curiosity, it's another to hound someone for a specific answer (something I used to face).

If you like, you like it. Simple as that.

Of course, this varies. Like, if you're reading a fanfic or a webcomic, it'd be best to give an in-depth review so the author knows what they're doing right or wrong.

But if you find yourself immersed in, say, a particular genre or game, be like Marge Simpson and go, "I just think they're neat." 😆
