It's impossible to remove the context that Heather is Harry's daughter and Alessa and everything without fundamentally changing the game, but I think they can definitely find a way to write the story so we're learning about these things with Heather in a way that feels natural and unobtrusive.

No, it just seems like the most likely. To us fans, SH3 requires SH1 to make sense, but I very much doubt Konami sees it that way. SH3 is the second most beloved game in the series, has some of its most iconic creatures, has Heather, has Robbie, all these things they already make toys and shirts of.

SH1 is significantly less well known, it’s monsters are largely quite silly compared to the sequels, and it completely and totally lacks that psychological element (in regards to Harry) that the series is known for. I’d love to be wrong, but I just don’t see it happening in terms of business brain.

Don't get me wrong I'd be ecstatic to see our girl Hev back in the spotlight as soon as possible, but you reeeeally need to see Harry/Alessa's journey in SH1 to give any SH3 remake the necessary pathos and weight.
