Hi Pandra. I have a comparable list for the Pacific Northwest. But I'm not yet techno savvy on uploading documents into a BlueSky post. I don't have Google Docs but I do have OneDrive (cloud). What's the step-by-step for inserting such a doc into a BS post? (And sorry for hijacking your thread.)

Oh - you just copy the pdf link from OneDrive and paste it into a new post. You may need to assign sharing permissions in the file settings so people can see it. 😊

When you're ready to add more nurseries to the list, the Virginia Native Plant Society maintains an excellent statewide list at https://www.vnps.org. Two that specialize in local ecotype native plants are Moulton Hot Natives (https://linktr.ee/moultonhotnativeplants) and LERN (https://www.lern-rva.org/).

West Texas has different biomes and ecotones because of the drier climate. The plants and ecosystems are more akin to the adjoining states to the west

Texas east of I-35 has significantly more moisture, creating ecosystems similar to the states east of the east Texas border

I can see the areas to the south of San Antonio that appear to be excluded and I understand completely. Personally, though, to me it looks as though all of SA should be included according to the map you posted. There are places N of SA along US-281 that have rainfall like you map suggests.

I am in the Northeast, and know of a few fantastic native nurseries but none of them are 100%. They are 80-90% and a great resource but I imagine they would be excluded from this list.
