How the fuck can we keep fighting if the bad guys keep winning? I can't exactly keep smiling and hoping for the best if the noose is already tight around my neck.
The world trends towards progress, but progress isn't always upwards.
We need to look out for each other and fight for that progress where we can, and we need to learn how to defeat post-truth populists and anti-institutional rhetoric.
The US """left""" chose to not continue to associate with a disgustingly smug and right-wing friendly neoliberal party. Don't sweat too much about it, shit wouldn't have improved particularly under KKKamala.
That was beautiful, Jessie. Lots of love from Spain, where we're still fighting the good fight so that our tomorrow's a bit less bleak than what was unfortunately transpired for y'all over there. Stay strong. Being kind is hard at times, but always worth it.
Very well said. I keep thinking about various resistances, both in real life and fiction, like The Maquis (real and Trek) and John Connor’s resistance against Skynet in the Terminator franchise. There will always be hope, as long as there are good people to keep it alive.🤗🤝💜
I keep thinking back to Election Night 2008. Me and friends celebrated in the streets of DC. A promise of a bright future. America was shedding its past and facing the new century with promise. That seems like a lifetime ago and very naive.
Thank ya for that, like the best written thing seen this morning. Gonna be more there for those in minorities affected. It just frustrating, hateful people won. Still processing this after all is said and done. Hoping for a better future.
No, USA didn't choose hate. Otherwise good folk chose to do nothing and allowed evil to win.
2020 Popular vote (Biden V Trump)
81 mil D, 74 mil R
2024 Popular vote (Kamala V Trump)
67 mil D, 72 mil R
Fewer votes for Trump this time, but 14 million Dems can't get past a black/indian/woman candidate.

Sorry.
please know, Jessie Gender, it is a small thing, but this Quaker is holding you in the light.
I feel very unworthy of it right now.
But you already went and did it.
Thank you again
