Learning that I can just *be*, rather than simply existing on autopilot, and the wonder of finding a community that are all at various points of that journey, is not something I can adequately put into words.

I've learned so much about myself in the last 10 years. I don't think I would have learned this much had I stayed in the closet. In fact, I was destined to become an alcoholic had I stayed on that path, and likely deep into alcoholism by this point. I chose the better path of authenticity.

Honestly my trans tribe is better than my kin. I feel like I’m less likely to have one of my trans tribe members screw me over. Also the amount of care we have for one another is amazing.

If being trans was awesome, no one would transition. What trans people actually love is as much as possible *fixing* what went existentially wrong (not being born with the body for which one is innately wired, one's related life being stolen) by transitioning - that's euphoric.

I love to finally be me, but I really need a therapist, SRS, FFS, chest augmentation, and feminizing my voice. Then I will be done with my transition. But I can’t even afford these and it causing me dysphoria depression (dark) and anxiety. 😥

I said to my sister when she came out “you do you, whatever that means to you”. I remember how hard it was for me to come out as bi, where and when I did that. I actually chose to skip coming out and just gaslit everyone into thinking I’d been out for years and why are they suddenly not OK with it?

Cisgendered people would be so much happier if they were more willing to explore gender and sexuality the way LGBTQ+ folks do. It's a shame that so many of them are apparently too insecure to look inward.
