I have so many other illnesses that cause memory loss I forget to talk about it. The hippocampus is literally shrunk in people who were depressed growing up, and that affects memory far after you recover from depression.
I learned that a long time ago. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, autism/ADHD all affect memory. So do antidepressants. I can remember things from when I was three, but not a conversation from five minutes ago.
