4: Stars - In Our Bedroom After The War
proof that it is possible, you can follow up an all-timer album with an almost equally all-timer affair in a similar tone. To call it Set Yourself On Fire 2 is shitty, but its more beautiful, hurting, Indie Baroque Pop that succeeds in all the same ways

the ultimate Dance-Punk flavored Post-Punk Revival album. No idea is left off the table, every song bleeds creativity. By the time the record is over you would think they have enough left in the tank for another 2 discs. I wish everything sounded this dynamic
Unarguably the best Pop-Emo album i've ever heard. Nothing can top it, nothing ever will. Make Out Kids into Time Turned Fragile is the best 1-2 punch ever. Seeing this graphic live from L.G. FUAD rewired my brain and I might tattoo it on my arm
A structurally important band to the 00s Post-Rock scene that will never get a slice of the credit it deserves for making the Lost Children net label. Their earlier albums could end up here, but its only fitting that LoaC's final one is the best
An album that flip-flops between being a sneering parody and an earnest bittersweet release that I find it almost meta. Are The Teenagers writing crude songs about fucking cheerleaders for laughs? Sure, but they also might be exploring the fragility of being a teen.
Probably the best "techskate" release ever made. Blisteringly sharp, anthemic when needed, and overflowing with energy. Up there in terms of the best drumming I've ever heard. Go out of your way to watch the live performance in the bowl, it brings it all to life
Theme'd to a T. The entire album sounds like post-Y2K sleek minimalism combined with the snow drift of the mountainside. A great example of the alt-electronic dance of the early to mid 00s sound. One of my earliest records and one who's sound I hold very dear
