I’m still digesting Luton Town’s relegation, but today’s defeat was a microcosm of our season.
Our destiny was in our hands. We had a team that was good enough on paper to do the job.
But carelessness, complacency and an absence of basic standards rightly did for us.

We were undercooked coming into the season. We didn’t break the careless habits that cost us in the Premier League. We didn’t truly attempt to course correct until it was too late.
Getting shot of the expensive deadweight (Mengi, Chong, Brown, Marv) will be crucial though.
Morris and Eli deserve a proper pre season and to be judged next season.
And after the dirge this season, I can’t confidently say that we will see that happen.
