Itβs Bunker Hill and Breedβs Hill. An ancestor of mine fought there, making my mother eligible for membership in the DAR which she refused to join.
Battle of Bunker Hill - whoever titled the picture misspelled it. Thatβs ok - whatever the title of the painting, my mother refused to join the DAR because of their racist policy in refusing to allow Marian Anderson to perform at their Constitution Hall in 1939.
Ahh, that whole thing was the title of the painting. Gotchya. I'd contend that the title of the painting is incorrect, but it's probably a historical difference to modern english.
