on top of great worldbuilding, narrative/level design, art direction, etc., avowed has incredible first-person RPG combat, among the best in the genre

i started wand/grimoire + bow then eventually gravitated to pistol/grimoire + arquebus as i spec'd more into dex, and fights never get old
