Social media companies are such a weird business model to me. The company creates no value, it’s the ‘talent’ on the company that creates value through the content that they create.

You look at something like the NBA where the players are taking >50% of the revenue and you start to wonder why someone hasn’t disrupted your TikToks / Metas with a product where the platform is distributing revenue or ownership to creators in the same fashion
I suppose that’s why players unions exist in sport, in the absence of a collective everyone is fighting for the scraps that Meta / Tencent / Space Karen is willing to hand out
