A temporary ceasefire deal-remains to be seen whether Netanyahu will honour it. Does not address issues of sovereignty, right to have a seat at the international table, rights to its own gas, oil, fishing etc, freedom of movement & freedom to export & import goods

US has a zero sum perspective derived from the British empire who passed on its baton ( & dirty tricks) to US after 2nd world war. The ceasefire deal, on the face of it, looks like more imperial colonialism which could one day set US against Israel. Deep concerns.

The response to the Hamas attack is entirely Netanyahu and his people. I don't know how to characterize President Biden. I believe that his behavior and the behavior of many of the Democratic politicians is indicative of fear and cowardice. And to speak more about it might label me as antisemitic.

I can say that the sheer hatred for even the innocent Palestinians is beyond understanding. This is why so many POC here in the United States felt some kind of way about it, we've known this kind of blind all consuming hatred for well over 400 years.
