Upkeep so far has been just cleaning up the filament poop haha, the Bambulab printers are, from what I can tell, easy mode as far as FDM printing goes. Filament is about 16-25 euro per 1KG, and I've only finished one roll so far. You can get bulk deals though to make it cheaper. - ThreadSky

We opted for the P1S with the AMS unit on top, largely because leaving filament hanging outside the unit wouldn't be great in coastal Ireland, we're unusually humid and humidity can impact filament. The AMS is sealed and we printed extra dessicant containers so everything is dry in there.

Yeah, but there's a lot of wasted filament with the colour changes, so I don't use it (I prefer to paint or print different coloured pieces separate and glue together after.

I should add there's a bit of print cleanup involved, so sanding sponges/ sheets, glue etc will be extra costs. Some isopropyl alcohol to clean the build plate. Nothing major.
