An Elvis would have done the sand with other African Americans genres. So I'm not saying legacies are not up for debate but my point is why the hyperfocus on Led.

However there are many arguments in favor, Led single handedly birthed modern heavy metal not with an album but with a single song from an album that also elevated folk music to mainstream audiences with ripples to today.
The very definition of stadium rock comes from Led because music is not only composition is also performance and the vast majority of the catalogue is not in asterisk but more over if you actually read the article there are just a few songs that are actually disputed.
The rest had been acknowledged like The Rolling Stones did for example. On the other hand, the most sampled (sampled, not covered) band in history is Led and they have never made efforts to stop that, all the contrary.
They come from an era where music wasn't as commodified as today therefore more free to use (which is not an argument to defend plagiarism when it is appropriate).

No Led = no Queen
So again, legacy in music is also about performance and impact)
