My interpretation of your post is that, in your opinion the majority of the crowd do not want to join in with Republican songs sang by the GB/Bhoys. Is that not correct?
There r degrees of Republican songs. Grace-yes. Overtly IRA songs-no. And it’s not don’t want to I think the evidence is the majority just dont sing them. So if the GB/bhoys, me, you and I would think every Celtic fan want a better atmosphere then the IRA songs should be replaced with Celtic songs.
There is a degree of mental gymnastics in that post that Fianna Fail/Fianna Gael would be proud of. Joseph Plunkett and Grace Gifford were proponents of violent Irish Republicanism. Yet you claim singing about them is different from singing about the Price sisters for example.
I don’t claim it. It’s a fact. Celtic fans will sing it and in fact the club will play it.
At the end of the day the GB have identified a problem I agree with. I’ve proposed and explained a solution. What’s yours?
The fans sing it because the GB brought it in to their repertoire. The club play it because, like you they perform the same mental gymnastics that allow a Zionist Tory b@st@rd like Rod Stewart to sing a song about one Irish Republican but not another.
