I have been trying to calm myself down that a lot of the biggest investment firms are not pricing in long term damage so they think nothing permanent has been done so far (and it will "heal" after the 4 years is up) - but who knows if they are right. Either way hoping for reverse momentum eventually

In college back in 2000 I had a class about conflicts between democracies. One of the big concerns about the US involved the fact that any deal or promise we made could only be relied upon for up to 4 years. It was only ok for as long as no one immediately set those agreements on fire... Whelp...

As an American who spent a lot of summers in Michigan, visited Canada regularly, and currently has many Canadian friends and associates, I can tell you, this entire situation infuriates me
