I remember playing Star Ocean Till The End of Time from a friend back in middle school and enjoyed it. Wish I had more time to play the games cause it seem like a great franchise. Heard Second Story R is really good though.
For someone who’s never played any Star Ocean games ever, where would the best place to start be? Or is it like most RPGs where the plots don’t carry over and you can start at any point?
In this series some of the plot line does carry over. I started here & then went & played the first game of the series. This is the second entry remade & you would be comfortable starting here I think. If you wanted to experience the beginning the first one has been remade too on PS4/Switch etc. 👍🏻
Its great, i need to revisit it, I took a break for like 2 months forgot how to play and the controls and keep dying in battles, will defo need to restart it 😂😂😂
Only part of this game that isn't perfection personified is the idea that this queen hear would travel across the galaxy for some man 🙄 unless it was to shoot said man 😌
I only played the dudes campaign and did as much as I could though apparently I missed out on a lot even with that lol. Still gotta do relias(?) story though and see what I missed
I played Star ocean back on the PSP days. Incredible game. Don't forget First Departure. The PSP games looked so damn cool. I have the remakes and I'm excited to play them Soon. Definitely a slept on series.
This game is so good. Finished the main story, immediately started NG+ and beat it again to get the remaining party members. Haven't finished the post game dungeon yet though, heh.
That’s one thing I’ve yet to do as well but I did the same as you for my second run I got all the party members I missed the first time with Claude that you can’t.
This game was a surprise to me as I was expecting them to just port over the PSP remake like they did with the first game. Instead we got a complete remake that looks great. I have the entire series for the PS4/5, but I still need to finish 1, 5 and 6. Might be time for a series play through. 😎
I have this one and I’ve only played the demo, but damnnnn. I need to go back and play it! The only Star Ocean I played a ton of was Til the End of Time
FANTASTIC game. I love all of the different methods you can use to make your party broken early on. Finished Claude's story. Gotta pick it up again and play Rena's. So many different strategies and combinations with weapons/armor and item crafting.
Had the opportunity to review this game, and man it was such a magical experience! It immediately became one of my fav games of all time!!

Yes, this one is great. I was in Japan when the remake came out and my friend got me it for my birthday there. The square Enix Cafe had an event for it too which was amazing
I LOOOOVE Star Ocean on PS1. I bought this remake, but I just haven't had a chance to play it yet. Wanted to support them, though, cause I want more of these types of remakes, lol!
