It always surprises me that there are boys out there that think women only play videogames to impress them.
Sorry to tell you this, but I’ve been playing videogames since I was 4/5 years old way back in the day on the OG NES/SNES & I have loved games ever since then even more so now actually. 🤷🏻♀️

I’ve been playing video games since I was a kid too and I mostly got comments like “Wow she’s a Tom Boy” or people even asking me WHY are you playing video games??

I went to a fighting game tournament last year and trust me nobody was impressed
I find it impressive cuz its just awesome to have someone with similar taste or just the same passion.
This needs to be called up. The internet era has made it so these people can find social support for this kind of selfish bullshit so it doesn't always work anymore that they get random "who tf you think you are" feedback.
Something to said about a woman that’s been gaming longer than she could tie her own shoes though. Commitment right there and possibly a lot of swearing 🤬
I know not all of them are, and I wish there were more real female gamers out there.
Him: "Cool. Was it hard to find or something?"
Me: "...hon, it's a PS1 game."
Him: "Oh!"
As a teenager I had a lack of confidence and self-esteem that led me to believe being a gamer was uncool and girls were these mythical beings above gaming. I was afraid girls would bring video games up in a patronizing or mocking way.
As an adult...gamer gals are real and great! 🫶
