It was surprising that a ring-necked parakeet perched on a tree in Ueno park. I saw many wild ones near Shinjuku a few years ago, but I didn’t know they lived in the east side too. I wonder how widely their habitat spread now.

Ring-necked parakeets are an introduced species in parts of Germany and England too! In the middle of the urban city! It's wild to see whole flocks of them fly over streets. I've found a green feather on the street once!
Oh wow, near my hometown of Chicago we had a local population of monk parakeets. I think there’s several species of parrots that are invasive here in California too.
