Clay, of course, was happy to talk. I told him how much I enjoyed the interview I'd heard. He asked me if I wrote, I told him I did and explained that mine had a year before it was out. After talking for about 20 minutes(!), I bought a copy of GHOST EATERS and bid farewell. 3/16

I went out in the hallway, sat down and started typing on a manuscript in progress. Not thirty minutes later, Clay comes by, and if you've heard Clay talk, you know exactly how this sounded. "Hey man! I just dm'd Neil (talking scared) and he says he'll dm you about your book!" 4/16

Now, as far as we know, I'm still sitting in that hallway in complete shock. This guy, this established author, just decided to reach out to a popular podcast and plant the seed about some numbnut he'd just met who claimed to have a book coming out. I'm still gobsmacked btw. 5/16

Half an hour later, I get a dm from Neil with Talking Scared. He asks about the book details and says maybe he'll try to get me on the show to talk about The Redemption of Morgan Bright (which he did). Clay ended up blurbing it and then inviting me onto HIS podcast FEARMONGERS. 6/16
