I know they won't this early (or if they ever will) but the Liberals, NDP, and Greens really need to take this warning sign and join forces, the earlier the better.
Whether that means being one united part or agreeing to only run the top polling candidate in each riding, they need to figure it out.

Why should people be forced to vote strategically to get rid of an option that they don't like?
Bottom up challenges might work, maybe it has to start at the federal level and work its way down, possibly a constitutional challenge. 🤷♂️
Either way, I think we can all agree that too many voices go unheard with the current system.

Sometimes things that are worth changing take time or haven't been considered and need time to percolate.
The point is, these are thoughts, not solutions.
Long term solutions require political will, and considering Ontario's voter participation, there is no will to do anything.
"Depressed about more Ford" keeps a lot of people at home in election day.
Getting them to do it is a longshot, so we're working on Plan B.
Politics isn't sports.
We don't need a favorite team.
It will confirm for me that they just care about their own party and not the communities they serve. I don't want to become this cynical.

We should start ignoring polls (which are full of lies anyways) & pick a team. NDP has best chance.
Staying true to your progressive roots to have more austere outcomes is bad, actually.
Turnout is WAY more important than any merger.
The parties need to work together, and voters will finally have to finally accept that when we strive for our individual idea of the perfect election outcome, we hurt everyone.
A vote for the greater good is the only way out of this mess.
Just go Stiles.
Thinking the public is going to suddenly break for Marit is believing in magic.
Also, you can't "selectively dropout". The Tories will eat you for lunch if you don't run candidates. Parties already ignore ridings they have no shot in.
we should be trying to make our country more democratic, with proportional rep not trying to reduce voter choice with backroom deals (which people don't like!)
The left’s love of hoping real hard really gets under my skin.
I understand the anxiety but (a) polls aren't the election and results can and do change rapidly (b) your idea would absolutely backfire
trying to recreate failed american-style two-party politics here isn't going to help... if all it took was just having one left wing option then trump wouldn't be elected
