It’s a little more than just a take. Old people actually do know a few things because we were alive for all this stuff. The deadlines were brutal. Once the producers learned whether a show would be renewed, they had to start immediately. 1/2
Writers had to crank out scripts fast as hell, etc., and typically an episode would be shot in a week. Budgets were shit, too. That’s why on older shows you’ll see “flashback” episodes, in which previous footage is recycled. That would save a week and get them back on schedule… 2/2
Agreed. But more than the number of episodes I miss not waiting years for the next season. These days I have to rewatch entire seasons to remind myself what happened.
