Continuation Tory doesn't capture the horror of this policy. I know I'm constantly feeling traumatised knowing our own government is openly transphobic. A decade ago I had such high hopes and thought trans kids would have what I was never able to have. The cruelty.

Streeting got into a pissing contest with Atkins as election day grew closer. It's possible Atkins ban happened because Streeting egged her on. I think one FOI revealed a dodgy letter which hinted at this. Needs confirming tho.

I’ve been so angry today I’m literally shaking, there’s zero evidenced clinical reason for this, the risks they talk about is that trans kids grow up to be trans adults, makes a joke of labours commitment to ban conversion therapy when it’s all they offer trans kids now

There are no safety concerns with this medication.

None.

It is just about oppression of trans adolescents.

As well as the adolescents who will be denied any medication, who we know will have significantly worse outcomes across a range of measures,

many are being pushed to medication that is less safe and known to have more risks and side-effects than the medications being criminalised.
