Y'all gotta stop advertising when/where you protest. It's not a smart move with an authoritarian government that has threatened to jail/deport the opposition.
There's a difference between advertising a protest and providing proof that you were there. It doesn't just put you in danger but your comrades in danger and not everyone can afford an arrest. The most effective movements organize away from the public eye.
Not on the weekend, but I was in D.C. for the inauguration. The only non-Trump supporters we encountered were Canadian and UK reporters. I held a sign reading ‘No Country for Small Hands’ as the motorcade passed. A small act of protest but worth it for me.
