Many such cases, but my point is that rich, powerful dumbfucks can afford to be useless. It's a lot easier to have imposter syndrome when the immense amount you're already doing may actually not be enough.

yeah and that's a fair point. i guess for my part "mindset" encompasses choosing what to care about. maybe sitting around doing nothing is useless. maybe it's extremely valuable and great. all depends on how you want to think about it, what your goals are etc

I tend towards that too, but I just don't think it's that simple. You can change your mind, but to do so, you have to change the systems that create and constitute your mind. It's a loop, and people can get stuck in a place like this and just not have the power to change it. Life is complicated.

Honestly this was true even before these assholes took over.

I moved to DC in 2007 for a news job and I had a wicked case of impostor syndrome before I even knew what that was. Within 6 months, I was looking around and asking "THESE people run the country?"
