IME, it's a seminary/ordination hymn. I feel like I heard it a LOT in training and now very rarely do.

Once in seminary someone played "Sleepers Wake" so slowly that even though it was only two verses the music prof had them stop after the first

Fun fact: Jeffrey Rowthorn told my seminary class that Lord, you gave the Great Commission was set to Abbot’s Leigh. I forget which hymn tune he had in mind when he wrote it.
