The election postmortems have mercifully started to slow down but just a reminder that at one level everybody’s takes are wrong but at another level our discourse actively creates reality so anyone’s take can be right.

As with everything in American politics, there is a wide spectrum of people who are more or less sympathetic to “woke” ideas and identity politics generally…
Because everyone cares about “ultimate” outcomes even though the result could’ve been flipped by 200k voters in swing states.
Either your ideology barely survives a given test or it’s crushed by it. Even though reality is more complicated.
So the outcome of an election can drastically shift things because it is unarguably “true”. (claims of fraud notwithstanding).
But it isn’t actually more true, it’s just what happened as a result of competing narratives and methods of persuasion.
