Head injuries like Sean's are very serious. Go immediately to the ER even if the victim is alert and talking. Brain swelling has a short delay and bleeds can start later. You can be fine one minute and dead within an hour.

Would also add that eye injuries can also be extremely time sensitive. And you do not have to tell anyone the entire circumstances of the situation just to get access to a hospital eye wash station to treat tear gas exposure

As a chemist, I’d like to add that, in most cases, if you get something in your eyes, our standard protocol is to remove any contact lenses, flush with water for several minutes (usually 5-10), and then go see a doctor.

As of right now, it is still the law of the land in this country that you cannot be refused treatment regardless of any status (legal residence, insurance, etc),and anything you share with a healthcare worker is privileged and confidential.
