my mom had aunts and cousins who were nuns. That’s typically Italian. In my fathers ancient German family tree, there are nuns, bishops, priests and and a cardinal. The tradition of family a priest in the family did wear off with each generation. I’m not Catholic. Never was.

It’s probably because they usually older. This Pope is in his 60’s. So any siblings, cousins, nieces nephews would be very much alive. Also, never in America, so we probably didn’t hear about it. Those of us who grew up with clergy in the family aren’t surprised by it at all. Of course he does!
