Sometime in the near future there will be another protest which gains prominence and we’ll see all the usual suspects blaming Bluesky while asserting they understand but would like things to be expressed in a more “constructive” manner.

A lot of people who swear up and down they support the right to free speech and assembly, and support movements to end bigotry and war, are nevertheless uncomfortable with protests and civil disobedience. They want to make sure the “right people” are leading and passions stay cool.

People have forgotten how much Blood was spilled for Civil Rights. But the elites haven't and they shut things down, hard, way before a movement becomes big enough they have to pay attention to it.
