I am just gonna come out and say it.

I think Hayao Miyazaki is an overrated, egotistical old timer the animation industry puts on a pedestal because he makes fairy tales for children.

I mean, sure his movies are cool to watch and satisfying. But what is it worth if it doesn't transcend time?
