I personally think the late Akira Toryama, Naoko Takeuchi, Koyoharu Gotouge and Kaifu Shirai are better examples of the Japanese animation industry who improved anime. I'd even throw the late Osamu Tezuka their as an honorable mention. - ThreadSky
