Might the "£50m to the recreational game" be spent on some of the projects in the Tory 2024 election promise of "only" £35m?
The domes and (especially) investment in community projects actually looked viable.

"The game is still bloody good" - I'd subscribe to this, but I still play much more than I _watch_.
Is it "still bloody good" if you want to watch the English pro game in England & Wales in August? Or with England teams so poorly prepared for Test and ODI cricket?
Interesting topic, as a Yorkshire member, very concerned about where this is all going. Nothing in this to halt the decline of redball and developing of test players which appears to me to be coming to a dead end.
Great to watch, as ever, and you are so welcome back.
I wondered if there’s a sense of the impact of all this on non-100 first class players? Their mental health, their sense of professionalism? All of this must make them feel like the last gas lamplighters in the electric age. I feel for them.
