I always get mad at the treatment Angron get as a character from the fandom, and i think it draws a parallel with how people only want to feel empathy when the protagonists of tragedies acts like nothing happened, so they can use them as "examples"

I personally always see how people (obviously not talking about the nice part of the fandom) tend to reduce Angron to just a person attached to the past, and quote Guilliman on "Betrayer", as if it was a great response to someone like Angron
"Enslaved by your past, blind to the future. Too spiteful to learn, too hateful to prosper."
Reading it over again it kinda sounds like the Imperium lol
It could sure work as a parallel to the Imperium, But not as a response to Angron, and Is more the words of someone who doesn't want to understand the context of someone else
I think of Angron as the most tragical of the Primarchs tbh, his story is just terrible and an example of someone who was left alone with a LOT of stuff he barely managed to deal with, with the tools he had, and i think people really don't understand him as a character
Hmm... so what you are saying is that people only empathise with Angron because he is not a fictional character, but fails to do so with real people who experience similar hardship? Just to make sure I am reading it correctly.
But the moment someone Says "Hey, this happened to me, it was fucked up, it fucked me up and still fucks me up" is like "Oh, but you should let past go, why are You so resentful?", as if people didn't really want to aknowledge the problems, and just have an ideal image to aspire to

I really like his 40k model, byt am not sure I want to pick it up and paint it, because I feel like it's going to make me sad the entire time.
He seems like one of the Chaos Primarchs that got the most screwed.

No, no
