I always hated it, I saw it as a guy's thing, I was bad at it, it made me conscious of my body.

It would be interesting to know how many transitioned trans people avoid sport in competition already to side step the bigotry that may ensue. I know of trans people who have left transition until after their competitive career. Must have been hard to do that.

This seems like a good point to remind people that the Equality and Human Rights Commission was (and still is) set up to promote the equality of the protected characteristic of gender. Sex and gender is the same thing in UK law.
